Laser Facials

LaserGenesis is the most gentle of lasers. It is perfect for those new to laser treatments. Numbing is not necessary because it feels like a warm breeze, and requires no downtime. When done regularly as part of a skincare routine it can lighten brown spots,  stimulate collagen to help the skin stay younger, and improve redness and acne. It is gentle enough for all skin types, rosacea patients,  and even in patients with sensitive skin. Most patients typically see results after 4-6 treatments performed at 2-4 week intervals. Maintenance treatments are done monthly or every 3 to 6 months depending on the patient’s age, skin condition, goals, sun exposure, and skincare routine.

Like the LaserGenesis, the PicoGenesis is a gentle laser and does not require numbing. It is ideal for patients who are new to laser treatments, require minimal to no downtime, and are concerned with dark spots or melasma. PicoGenesis is the only laser/light device we use to treat patients with melasma. It feels like a rubberband snapping on the skin. Most patients typically see results after 4-6 treatments. Initially, treatments are performed every  2-4 weeks. PicoGenesis FX is a more aggressive version of the PicoGenesis. Using a special adapter to concentrate the laser energy for optimal non-ablative collagen stimulation,  the PicoGenesisFX is ideal for treating depressed acne scars, improving the appearance of large pores, and for anti-aging. This treatment does require topical numbing before treatment. Patients report approximately 2-4 days of redness after treatment.  Most patients typically see results after 4-6 treatments. Initially, treatments are performed every  2-4 weeks. Maintenance treatments may be done monthly or every 3 to 6 months depending on the patient’s age, skin condition, goals, sun exposure, and skincare routine.

IPL also known as the original “Photofacial” uses light energy to target the cells that cause dark spots. The energy is then converted to heat which stimulates collagen formation. Over time new collagen in the skin rejuvenates the skin by improving tone and texture.  This treatment requires topical numbing and may have 0-4 days of social downtime. Dark spots tend to darken temporarily and then fade. Patients also report “coffee ground-like”  dots that appear during the recovery period and wash off as the skin heals usually within the week. It is common for patients to require multiple treatments for clearance of dark spots and to require treatments in the future for maintenance as the dark spots tend to return with sun exposure and age.
